    Rotorua Museum is pleased to announce the return of the biennial Art Awards for 2017. The volunteers that provide free ‘outside-the-walls’ guided tours of Government Gardens have just won the Supreme Award at the 2017 Trustpower Rotorua Lakes Community Awards! Our new blog started in May and will explore a wide range of topics from Pacific Island Language Weeks to Tarawera sausages and much more.   • What’s on with Rotorua Museum: May – June 2017

    The building that houses Rotorua Museum remains closed following earthquake damage and we are currently awaiting a final seismic assessment. In the meantime, we are continuing to host daily tours, as well as events, exhibitions and education programmes in various locations around Rotorua.     While Rotorua Museum is still not open we have a range of events and exhibitions happening at different venues. Check out Da Vinci Machines & Robots before it closes on 26 March.
    The annual Great Rotorua Museum Easter Egg Hunt has moved outside and giant eggs will be hidden throughout Government Gardens these April school holidays. Free drop in crafts will be available most weekdays in Te Rūnanga Tea House. Fun for all the family!
