Amazing Race and Swim Explore the Government Gardens and swim at the Polynesian Spa

The Government Gardens is not just a pretty place to go for a walk! Available all year round this is a perfect way at the beginning of the year to instil whanaungatanga in your class. Students will need to collaborate and work together in teams to reach the end.

Uncover the mysteries of this special historic place, race against others in an Amazing Race to find clues, meet Rangitihi a revered Te Arawa tupuna (ancestor) and Queen Victoria along the way.

Combine this with an optional swim at the Polynesian Spa for a fun trip out. Please note: Swim at Polynesian Pools is available Wednesday to Friday only, due to the opening hours of Polynesian Pools.

All bookings must be made through Rotorua Museum education staff. The Amazing Race is free for local schools, out-of-town schools will be quoted on enquiry. The swim component at the Polynesian Spa attracts additional costs for both local and out-of-town schools
