Jane says during her training she “has really enjoyed meeting a bunch of enthusiastic like-minded and just lovely people!”
“I’ve learnt a lot about Rotorua – I never realized that the museum was a bathhouse, for me it was always a museum. People love hearing the stories, the gardens and the carvings”
Jane is a keen bird fancier and was delighted to learn more about the bird life around Sulphur Bay and our endangered New Zealand falcon, the kārearea, during her training. She was even more delighted to have a really close encounter with one the day Wingspan Birds of Prey staff surprised our new guides with a visit by their female falcon ambassador, Sirocco.
